Collecting Dust
Too late, says the mind
Too weak, cries the heart
She let the words unspoken
Collect dust in tip of her tongue
Cobwebs gather in her ribcage
In the silence of a beating heart
Too late, says the mind
Too weak, cries the heart

What i really love about your poems maria is when its written in short verses..that’s when you get to give that hard punch vibe…..just like this one…you knocked me out here…

Aw, that’s very kind. Thank you, Mich. ❤ I’m still working on compressing my thoughts into short verses. Glad this worked. 😁

AGREE with Mich! Lots of punch in your shorter lines. This one has a lot of metaphors too. So much that you share from your over flowing heart.
