Beautifully Chaotic
A Free Verse
She is beautifully chaotic in her own way
Untamed, wild, and fierce
She walks the earth with arms open wide
A carefree heart she bears
She talks intensely about life,
In a voice that speaks of passion
She feels deeply about love,
With eyes that burn like flames
But beneath the sparks and smiles
She remains a captive of her past
Chained, shackled, and binded
To scars that will forever last
On some days she beams towards life
Dancing with the winds
But stays awake on some full moon nights
Quietly standing still.

I was half-hearted if the words fit the photo yesterday but reading your comments… Phew! Glad it worked out well. Thanks, Jade. I checked the artist’s website. He really does have a lot of amazing poem-inducing photos. ❤

I guess us women are a little chaotic and beautiful most of the time. You are beautifully chaotic who finds your way in your poems, I’m certain. Thank you, Mandi! 🙂

The beginning is passionate, almost sensual. Love the intense lines: “She feels deeply about love,
With eyes that burn like flames”.
And then comes the turn. Geez. Bravo, Maria! ❤

She remains a captive of her past
One can’t help but are dragged down by disappointments or baggage of the past. It puts brakes to progress and improvements one propose to do!

“One can’t help but are dragged down by disappointments or baggage of the past. ” ~ You’ve said it very well, Hank. I agree. But I still hope we don’t let these disappointments and baggage of the past decide where we’ll going. 🙂

It’s not easy to forget or let go of the past, is it? No matter how hard we try. It’s there nagging us, troubling us, constantly reminding us. All we can do is fight it. This is beautiful, Maria 🙂 So is the picture 🙂

Awwe.. very well said, NJ. Your words reflect my thoughts on this matter. It is so true that all there is to do is to keep on fighting. I’m glad you liked it. Thank you dear! Have a great day! ^^
