Summer Breeze

Your soft breeze, unrelenting
A bittersweet recall of forgotten summer
Of sunshine and butterflies
Of wild flowers and barefoot walks
Your soft breeze, unyielding
Fluttering memories, lifting curtains
My heartbeat once unperturbed
To a mem’ry of gentle kisses
Restless and weary at night

In response to dVerse’s Quadrille – 10: Breeze

Poet’s Pub today is hosted by Bjorn who took us to the world of metaphors with his piece. The challenge is to write a poem using exactly 44 words with the word breeze in the main body of your poem. Interested? Join the band! 🙂
