Scribblings and scrawls of a hopeless romantic soul

Poets United

I no longer chase men
Or strive to tie a broken string
This heart will not set sail again
On the ocean that took them away
Nor will I mirror past mistakes
For I have come to admit:
Whatever leaves, leave.
Whatever stays, stay.

An Inch Closer: What lies beyond

An Inch Closer: What lies beyond

And I
Hearts tethered to
A moonlit desire—
A kiss away from hope
An inch closer to maybe
Unlock the door to the unknown
And, step by step, see what lies beyond
As one, let us make ruins feel like home.

Also this is another sequel to my poems, An Inch Closer and An Inch Closer: Renegades..

Head over here to join the fun:

Buried Wealth

In the middle of the night, like a thief,
fear came with a bending sickle

and so here lie
the untold stories,
unwritten poems,
unsung songs,
unfulfilled dreams , and
unrealized greatness

an immeasurable wealth buried six feet beneath.

Reckless Prey

Reckless Prey
A Goethe Stanza

You are but a felon with might

Whirling castles; spinning web of lies
Waiting for a victim, ensnaring to plight

Leaving broken hearts and foolish cries

And I am but a reckless prey

Lost and barren and severed wings
Trapped in a mesh, unable to flee

Caught by a spider best at pulling strings
