A Soulful Duet
Your words were
the soft breeze that tickled
my ears. They whispered
sweet nothings, and I melted
at the hum of your love.
The ribs which caged
my heart, crumbled at the sound
of our song. And this promise
that the wind has brought
will be a soulful duet.
Between two faraway hearts
but never apart.

This poem was inspired by a piece entitled, Whispered Reassurances, by Chuck of The Reluctant Poet. Please feel free to check this beautiful poem and the rest of his works. Muse and I just couldn’t resist but write an answer to it.
Also, I noticed some of my blogger friends, Vanessa, D, Gina, and Chuck himself, are meeting at a place called, Go Dog Go Café. Anyone who’s up for a cup of macchiato or perhaps an espresso is welcome. Have some poetry on the side and you’re all set!
Lastly, I would like to thank Charley of Life in Portofino for the quick lesson about playing with line breaks. Learning is a work in progress but this is how I can go so far.
P.S. Something went wrong with the first post so I am posting this again. My apologies. Have a great weekend everyone! 🥂🌹

Oh, My Dear Maria, I am So Excited by this Amazingly delicate, simple and moving piece that grabbed my heart at the get go!!! Wow, Maria! I am in awe of You and Your talent (Your Muse too, don’t want her unhappy with me! I think there’s a Muse Union? And I’ve got one too.)! I love You and Your Muse and a Soulful Duet! Don’t know that You knew it but I’m addicted to duets!! See “Allie’s Song for Noah” and “Allie’s Note for Noah”.
I am still so humbled, honored and amazed that any words of mine inspired the words that came from Your Heart and Soul!!! Bless You, My Dear for Your generous Heart and beautiful Soul!!! Boxes of Gold Stars and Hearts for You, and Your Muse! Billissmo, Maria, Bellissimo
This lovely and tender piece shall be the featured reblog dessert for tomorrow on my blog (two courses of You today! I have to give my followers time to really digest Your work before dessert tomorrow).

We are so happy that Maria of Doodles and scribbles is back to present us with a delicious dessert in the amazingly delicate, simple and moving piece “A Soulful Duet”. I was happy to see that even a few words of mine could possibly be a seed of inspiration to Maria for this poem! Please enjoy a “Soulful Duet”!

My Dear!! I was searching through my past posts for something else and this popped up as well and I yearned to read this again! And I am so thrilled that I did!!! And with every word I realized how much I have missed seeing you on my site and us working on something new. Has your Muse blacklisted me?
Your words in this poem always caress my soul and I am forever captured by the spell of your words.
Come see me? My words have missed you!!
Chuck

Oh, thank you dear sir. You are thoughtful as ever. My apologies for being away from the blogosphere and my absence in your site. I have been travelling in the real world. Rest assured my muse have not blacklisted you and yearns for us to work on something new– soon.
I hope you have been doing well. I will hop into your site right after this period. 🙂
