Not Letting Go
Not letting go is the deep sigh on a busy afternoon
When memories poke at your mundane routine
It is throwing a boomerang thousand miles away
Waiting for it to spin right back to you
It is taking a table for two on a solitary night
Sitting face to face with resignation
It is wrapping yourself with those thin arms
Bracing yourself for the cold

I hope to get a taste of summer before it ends here, too! If I’m not mistaken, it is Spring in your end, right? Have a lovely day, D~

I can relate to these lines:
When memories poke at your mundane routine
It is throwing a boomerang thousand miles away
Waiting for it to spin right back to you
You paint the picture of how every day as a society the routine we follow keeps our minds at constant thinking and before you know it. Life just hits us or awake us to the age of spin.
Love this one a lot. 🙂

Glad to hear your thoughts, Charlie. Thank you for sharing them. And I agree, some of life’s surprise spins like boomerang. We end up caught in a daze. 🙂
