Knights Are Myths
My father once told me,
Do not believe in knights
They don’t ride warhorses
Or fight battles for their lords
Some wore fancy armors
Only to be struck down
By temptation’s arbalest
Some will play you like chess
Saying one step forward
Walking two steps back
Instead, he told me to fall for
A man with the taste of the sea
Someone who knows
The dangers of the ocean
And the gusts of the wind
Someone who, despite
The beauty of the deep,
Will find a shore to return to
Someone who knows the pain
Of a wound drenched in salt

What a wisdom filled poem. Though I recall that a wound drenched in salt stings a whole lot 😉

be careful what they say about the man of the sea. he has a girl in every port. better fall for a man of the land. steady boring but kind. me just kidding ok. your words are really beautiful Maria, lots of wisdom here. its all about choosing wisely in the end.
