carrying the throes that life throws
and the weight of the wait
i long for you and my world whirled
as I whine at my wine again
a maid made of sin from sole to soul
i had no alibi
forgive me, too, if there were two
in my heart there’s only you

A nice take on the prompt Maria. I love the line “as I whine at my wine again.” I may try it 🙂

I haven’t done this one yet or heard the song. But it’s a beautiful piece. You did it well. For that’s kind where many of go when we lose someone we love. But if we had to choose we’d choose our person, not the drunken stupor we end up in. Love hurts sometimes. Great job!
