Pandemonium
Inside this body is a storm
a heavy downpour of doubt
strong gusts of fear
and my rage
is a lightning proclaimed
by a silent scream—
thunder
News reports a sunny weather
But beneath this skin is a bedlam.

Yes, your poem is stormy. But not without hope – it’s just entering fully into the storm. But like summer thunderstorms and all storms, they pass overhead. Sometimes they even leave a rainbow in their wake! I liked the presence in your poem; there’s something to be said for living completely in any moment, even a stormy one.

Pandemonium is an apt title. This is a very raw piece, my dear and I can sense the emotions just boiling between the words.
And slightly off-topic, but isn’t pandemonium just such a great word? 😀

This is an awesome articulation of that out-of-sync-with-the-world state of being – making your way through your own personal hell, while all around you, it is strictly ho-hum business-as-usual. That pandemonium in the middle of Dullsville is, for me, about as odd as life gets. A very cool piece of writing!
