Wildfire
A Free Verse

 We were
Flickering flames
Tiny budding flares
Burried deep within
Until love came
Swift as a thief
Igniting us with every gust
Turning flames into a wildfire—
Devouring your reticence
Engulfing my fears
Consuming our sanity
Our reason
Our virtue
We were madmen
Shouting down the street
The echoes of our hearts
Until we sizzle into nothingness
In the void of warm hugs
Laughter and
Kisses
