Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity” ― John Muir
I’ve been out of blogosphere for quite a time because… life happens. BUT so much for that, I’m happy to be back! 😀 😀 😀
So, for now, here’s a sneak peak of my trekking adventure with friends last April 9 at O-Peak.
Osmeña Peak, most often known as O-Peak, is the highest mountain in Cebu famous for its picturesque view of the countryside. It offers a breathtaking view of the sunrise and sunset, a tedious yet worth-all-the-sweat climb atop the jagged hills, a blanket of moon and stars during the night, and endless laughter and smiles. Personally, I’d say it looked like we were transported to another world. Hmm… say, Middle-earth. ❤
Lo and behold… the beauty of the highest peak in the Queen City of the South! Lovely shots by Cat, too. 😉
Gorgeous sunset. Need I say more?
Team Backdoor conquers Osmeña Peak! YAY!
Our ancestors would be so proud, we’ve managed to create our make-shift kitchen! Ha!
Hello there, sunrise! It was foggy and misty when I climb atop the hill but the sun’s ascend warms the heart. ❤
Moments later, the fog eased and here’s a gorgeous take from Cat. Sunrise is ❤
Uhmm… I’m adding this just because! Caption: A Little Hobbit in Shire! ^^
Warm sunrise over foggy mist
Silhouettes on a breathtaking sunset
Jagged hills and white coastline
An untamed beauty, nature has defined
Friends and laughter ’round a campfire
Moon and stars lit the night sky
A cold embrace from the wind
I wouldn’t trade this for anything.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
