He stared down
Trying not to glance at her
As if he doesn’t notice
Yet he saw right through her soul
Even without looking
He turned up
The volume in his head
As if she’s not his music
Yet he heard every word she says
Even without listening
He breathed in
The freshness of morning air
As if all memories have depleted
Yet he could sense her scent
Even without smelling
He wore a smile
Trying not to look hopeful
As if his heart’s not racing
Yet he got a tang of her kisses
Even without snogging
He squeezed tightly
The pillows in his bed
As if that is all he needed
Yet he felt the warmth of her skin
Even without touching

Aww the definition of this word is so adorable. And your poem captures the definition perfectly.

Beautiful piece, you’ve probably just summed up the thoughts of about 80% of teenage boys with their first crush!
