Meltem is also Turkish given name for females. It derives from the Turkish word for the strong, dry, north winds of the Aegean Sea.
Summer light, summer breeze
Wild flowers on tousled hair
Warm sunshine upon me kissed
A sudden ache of poetry
Rolling waves,
Crisp ocean breeze
Herons gliding overhead
Take me to this place again
Let’s taste the wind of summer days
On the contrary, summer arrived in the Philippines with a record-breaking 51°C— scorchingly hot!! Mine would be “a sudden ache of iced tea”… Yes, please. ^^
A heat index record was set for the second time in less than two weeks as summer temperatures soared amid the lingering El Niño. –Inquirer

You make summer sound so cheerful, almost makes me forget the unbearable heat. Although after reading that it’s 51 degrees there, summers in India in comparison sound pleasant.
P.S. Can I have some iced tea too to beat this scorching heat? 😉

Cheers to iced tea then! *bottoms up*
Haha! Thank you, NJ. The weather here is quite unforgiving this summer (although some enjoy it very much). I hope you’re having a good one in India. 🙂

I love this, Maria! 51 degrees C. Is that about 84 degrees Fahrenheit?

Thank you PJ! I converted it through google, it says 51 degrees C is 123.8 degrees Fahrenheit. But as of today, it has gone down to 44 degrees C. Thank God! 🙂 I hope you’re having a fine weather on your end PJ. 🙂 🙂

Super! Some enjoyed it though by going to the beaches. But better hot than raining. We’d suffer even more in the rainy season. *sigh*
Hope you’re having a lovely weather there PJ. 🙂
