Written for Mind and Life Matters’ Limerick Challenge Week 10: Whisper
On a moonlit night, I let out a sigh
Wondered, in silence, if you heard my cry
Did you hear the wind whisper?
Or saw the water glimmer?
As I wafted and uttered my last goodbye.
I am, strangely, inspired by love and loss today (If you are reading this and noticed my other poem, Hear me, please?).
P.S. Sorry for flooding your reader with gloom. Smiles! 😀

After reading the comment from Rosemawrites, I went to read your previous work and I agree! It is related and beautifully!

Thank you, Rashmi! 😀 I already posted the first one before I read your Limerick challenge. I was surprised when I found out it’s about “whisper”. Then I decided to weave the two poems. Glad it worked! 😀

A last goodbye, that is sad indeed. Well written poem. I love the picture you put with it. She conveys the emotions you speak of well.

Thank you, Mandi. It took me a while to find the image. The girl in it is haunting and beautiful. Glad it fits the poem well. 🙂
