“Resilience is the ability to work with adversity in such a way that one comes through it unharmed or even better for the experience. Resilience is rooted in a tenacity of spirit—a determination to embrace all that makes life worth living even in the face of overwhelming odds. When we have a clear sense of identity and purpose, we are more resilient, because we can hold fast to our vision of a better future. Much of our resilience comes from community—from the relationships that allow us to lean on each other for support when we need it.”
Orlando ‘Laine’ Wade, Marketing Services Representative
Despite the imminent storm brewing and the clouds hovering above our heads because of this threat, the Author Marketing Services-Fulfillment Team unveiled the value of resilience as they triumph over the rage and gusts of the typhoon Ruby.
Living up to our theme, “Ignite the Passion, Freeze the Gap,” the creative team of AMS valiantly celebrated their year-end party at the Bliss Superclub, Mango Square, on the December 7. For years, the team has grown into a big family, and as the day and night teams unite for our first Christmas party as one, no raging wind can surmount our spirit. The show must go on.
In attendance were the AMS manager, supervisors, marketing services representatives, marketing services associates, Internet researchers, layout designers, web designers, copywriters, admins, and RTCs. Guests were also invited as judges for the night’s main event. Ray August from Post Publication, Angela Mayol from CS, and Ruben Hornero from Palibrio came in, stunningly striking and gorgeous.
Aside from the food and the merriment of gift giving, two of the most anticipated events during the night were the AMS Naked Truth Fun Walk and the AMS Battle of the Skill Sets. These highlighted the flourishing new talents in the AMS fashion genre and the wide array of talents among team members.
The club was filled with deafening screams as the young and gorgeous models walk their way in the stage. Think sizzling bodies and abs—the crowd was set on fire. And there was indeed a showcase of humor and talent as the skill sets battled it out in their singing, dancing, and acting skills.
Rising above the battle are the MSRs with their drama/dance performance turned into a birthday surprise for the AMS operations manager, Mike Lozada. It was indeed a night of burning passion and fiery delight where gaps are frozen and camaraderie is at its height.
P.S My friends and I didn’t get to join the fun walk or the showdown but it was a lot fun as onlookers! *wink*
